John Fielder, a nationally known nature photographer, publisher and conservationist, offers photographers of all skill levels an opportunity to learn in unique classrooms – along the scenic backroads of Colorado – in a choice of seasons and locales that include a world of winter white, a wilderness whitewater rafting and camping journey, historic mountain community, vast fields of wildflowers and brilliant fall foliage.
“Why spend all of that money on a nice digital camera, or gifting one to friends or relatives, and not know how to use it?” says Fielder. "If you invest in a good camera, invest a bit more in a workshop and get an immediate return on your investment! Learn in one, two, or three days what buttons to push and how to compose a good image. I will cut you to the chase. “
The workshop season kicks off in Steamboat Springs March 15-16, and continues at the Gunnison Gorge May 16-19, then at Summit County's village and field locations with a choice of June 14 or 15, followed by Crested Butte with a choice of July 17-18 or 19-20 and wraps up in Telluride October 3-5. Tuition ranges from $395 to $1,395 per person and includes a curriculum designed and presented by Fielder, slide show lecture-presentation, one-on-one instruction from Fielder who is oftentimes assisted by a second professional nature photographer, field shoots in some of Fielder’s favorite locations, transportation and meals.
